It was the day before that we went to the ferris wheel, which was on the edge of the Tiergarden, between the Brandenberger Tor and the Potsdamer Platz. Remember how in the Tiergarden just on the other side of the gate, they were setting up for the New Year's Eve festivities the following day? I think that after the Bauhaus Archiv, we went to the Esso station and got the champagne and the weekly magazines to see what was going on that night. It was before we went to Mar Y Sol was when we hung out in the hotel room and drank champagne and watched some of the bad TV.
